Job description

Keymark Corporation of Florida, an aluminum extrusion manufacturing plant, is actively interviewing applicants for the Purchaser at the Lakeland manufacturing plant to support the Maintenance Department. Starting hourly compensation depending on your experience and knowledge is $18 - $22 / hour.


Keymark observes the holiday season and closes the plant, extending paid holiday time to employees that have been on board 30+ days.

Scope of the role:

You will be responsible for a variety of duties ranging from managing and coordinating requisitions for the procurement of parts, equipment, supplies and services for the plant. You will track orders and update management on expected arrival times and be the liason between the company and vendors.


Primary duties:

  • Process orders using computer based order management tools 
  • Utilize supply chain knowledge to manage parts inventory effectively
  • Oversee supplier relationships and ensure timely sourcing of required parts
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions in written and oral form
  • Assists Receiving Coordinator with completed packing slips and delivery tickets
  • Prepare purchasing reports as requested by management
  • Develop a relationship with Purchasing Dept. in NY to understand proper purchasing processes
  • Assist with the organization of parts and equipment technical publications
  • Assist with other other administrative duties
  • Participate in the planning of projects and be the responsible party to make sure project packets, approvals are secured and completed correctly


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for this position include:

  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills required
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, excel and Outlook)
  • 2 years of experience conducting purchasing and inventory
