Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Keymark Corporation of Florida, a leading aluminum extrusion manufacturer, is actively seeking candidates for the role of Industrial Maintenance Supervisor at their Lakeland manufacturing plant. In this role, you will be supervising technical team members who are responsible for performing maintenance procedures on plant equipment.
The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is a Mid-Level Management Position assigned to the Maintenance Department. You will be required to possess competency in performing skilled manual tasks in the service activities related to Maintenance Department. This work is non-routine in nature and is performed without supervision in most cases.
The Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor Technician role is being offered hourly compensation up to $35/hour, depending on your knowledge and experience level, and scheduling. Projected annual wage earnings range is $72,000 - $100,000.
Scheduling is full-time, 12-hour shifts with 4 days on / 4 days off rotating schedule.

You will be working without direct supervision and assigning duties in detail, observing performance, and instructing in proper repair and troubleshooting methods. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. Supervision of other employees is the responsibility of this position. You will be asked to train direct reports in tasks that they have not previously mastered in their classification to improve the knowledge and diversity in the maintenance department.
To be considered a qualified applicant, you should have the following aptitudes:
- Good working knowledge of industrial equipment and processes.
- Must possess experience in ALL of the following trade skills: Welding, Fabrication, Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLC troubleshooting / programming.
- Ability to guide team members on knowledge of operation and mechanics of equipment.
- Apply the above knowledge in all aspects of the job while performing daily routine activities.
- Proficient in all aspects of print reading.
Candidates' Preferred Education & Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 5 years performing a maintenance mechanic role, and 3 years in a supervisory position.
- Prefer applicants with an Aluminum Extrusion background, but not required.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Examples of Duties (Duties are examples but are not limited to the following):
- Supervises maintenance staff by determining workloads and schedules; develops, interprets, and implements policies and procedures; evaluates staff and makes hiring and termination recommendations; and ensures that staff are trained in complex maintenance activities and are following standard operating procedures.
- Monitors and participates in operations in assigned sections, including inspecting projects, developing and implementing modifications and improvements, recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts, negotiating prices, and inspecting contractors’ work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed.
- Answers questions and provides information related to projects, including resolving problems, approving expenditures, handling complaints, and providing technical expertise in area of assignment.
- Interacts professionally with the public, vendors; maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental objectives.
- Provides input into the development of the operating budget for the assigned area of responsibility; orders materials and supplies; assists in the monitoring and tracking of expenditures for the department.
- Coordinates maintenance activities with other departments, including scheduling and resolving problems; coordinates and inspects work performed by contractors.
- Assists in the selection of staff; performs periodic evaluations of subordinates and recommends and implements discipline as required.
- Ensures that safety training is provided to staff and that proper safety practices are followed.
- Responds to emergencies as requested; coordinates activities with other responders; directs the work of staff and utilization of resources to effect repair and ensure the safety of plant employees.
- May perform a variety of field maintenance tasks, depending upon experience and level of certification.
- Prepares records related to the work performed and materials and supplies used; enters invoices in the computerized purchasing system; Administrator of plant CMMS maintenance system; Schedules work orders and planned maintenance accordingly to maintain and improve equipment performance.

Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
