Job description

Keymark Corporation of Florida, an aluminum extrusion manufacturing plant, is actively interviewing applicants for a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist (Spanish <> English) at the Lakeland manufacturing plant. Starting salary range depending on your experience is $42,000 - $55,000. Minimum experience is 2 - 5 years in HR line of work and study.

Starting compensation will be dependent on experience level with a comprehensive benefits package offered. The annual earnings working full-time will range from $42,000–$55,000.

In this role you will be working with the Plant HR Manager.

As the Human Resources Generalist, you will implement programs by providing HR services including:

• Compensation

• Health & welfare benefits

• Training & development

• Records management

• Employee relations and retention

• Special programs

• Personnel transactions

• HRIS management

• Collect and analyzes HR data

• Makes recommendations to management.

• Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.

• Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.

Schedule:

Typical working hours are Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with adjusted hours required two days per week to provide additional coverage or exposure for the 2nd shift (flexible start/end time).

Some of the Primary Responsibilities for this position include:

• Responsible for Human Resource activities, including employment, compensation, employee benefits*and training & development.

• Assist HR Manager with staffing process as assigned, including interviewing job applicants; review applications/resumes; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant’s qualifications.

• Conducts internal investigations working with Executive staff and relevant subject matter experts.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and be sensitive to the situation where information must be shared on a “need to know” basis.

• Performs benefits administration* (in conjunction with, and direction from, the Corporate Benefits Administrator) to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communication of information.

• Performs employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.

• Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems, evaluating and implementing potential solutions, and coaching and counseling managers and employees.

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• Working with the Corporate Benefits Manager, develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 report annually; maintains other records, reports, and logs.

• Protects the HR organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends meetings and seminars.

• Responsible for managing the day-to-day employee relations within the manufacturing plant.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have the ability to work a flexible, adjusted hours schedule as required. 

We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.

• Knowledge of federal and state employment benefit laws.

• Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.

• 2 - 5 years of Human Resources experience w/ a combination of the completion of a post-secondary degree program.

• Visibility requires maintaining an active presence on the shop floor, a professional appearance, and providing a positive company image.

• Required Bilingual (English & Spanish).
